Four Children Were Left Without Electricity

Three years ago, Maksut Makhambetov was seriously injured in a car accident and became paralyzed from the waist down. His wife cannot work full-time because she takes care of her husband and their daughter, who has special needs.

Because of financial difficulties, the family fell behind on their electricity payments. On the day of filming, they believed someone had come to disconnect their electricity. But it turned out to be part of a surprise. Together with generous people from across Kazakhstan, the Khareket Foundation presented the family with the greatest gift of all — a home of their own.

When Maksut received the keys, he couldn't hold back his emotions. After living with constant uncertainty for so long, the family finally had a place they could truly call home. Thanks to the support of thousands of kind-hearted people, they have started a new chapter of their lives in their own home.
